Gladys "Ann" Shepherd Brymer

Gladys “Ann” Shepherd Brymer, age 71, a resident of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at NHC Healthcare Dickson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 23, 1952, in Maury County, Tennessee, Ann was the daughter of the late Earnest Ray Shepherd and the late Gladys Attkisson Shepherd. She devoted thirty years of her career as a CNA tech and housekeeper. Ann was known for her green thumb, always tending to her many plants and flowers. She also found joy in taking trips to the casino with her friends. A beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Ann was full of love, laughter, and resilience, touching the lives of all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Angie (Eduardo) Lopez of Bon Aqua, TN, Melissa (Bobby) Walker of Lyles, TN, Melinda Martinez of Bon Aqua, TN, sons, Rodney (Lori) Shepherd of Bon Aqua, TN, Donald Brymer, Jr., of Columbia, TN, stepchildren, Shonda, Sherron, James Moody, dear friend, Barbara Smith Ray, sisters, Sarah Bennett of Fairview, TN, Debbie Shepherd of Arizona, twenty-nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Miss Kitty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Earl “Gabby” Willis, granddaughters, Chena Martinez, Deanna Wright, sisters, Racheal Fitzgerald, Linda Malone, brothers, Cecil Shepherd, Larry Shepherd, Ricky Shepherd, and the long-time love of her life, Randy Moody.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the wonderful help and care from staff of Gentiva Hospice of Dickson and the staff of NHC of Dickson, with a special thanks to Chelsea, Kim, Gretchen, Maria, Brittney, Becky, Melissa, Kayla of Gentiva Hospice and Olivia, Sandy, Teresa, Chrissan, Will, David, Nolen, Evan, Toni, Tracy, Jacklyn, Madison, Sam, Sam, Kyia, Jennifer, Jean, and Mrs. Jeanette all of NHC Dickson Unit 2, and to a very special caregiver, Charity Stewart, who became family. Thank you all for the love and care of Ann.
