Grace Marie Farris of Columbia, Tennessee

October 2, 1929 - August 17, 2023

Grace Marie Farris, age 93, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Life Care Center.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rick Points officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 2, 1929, in Maury County, Tennessee, Grace was the daughter of the late Porter Scott and the late Nina Dunn Scott. She worked many years as a seamstress for Weather Tamer and Tennessee Knitting Company and later worked as a housekeeper for Maury Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Tim) Victory of Hohenwald, TN, several grandchildren, one great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Farris, children, Walter Craig Farris, Linda Farris, Jane Alexander, and siblings, Floyd, Mack, Cecil, and Jimmy Scott.
