Gregory Wayne Wilson

August 3, 1962 - March 27, 2020

Mr. Gregory Wayne Wilson, age 57, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held at Friendship Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Greg was born in Maury County and was the son of the late Bobby Wayne Wilson and Jean Malone Wilson. He worked as a crane operator for Custom Steels Inc. He loved spending time at the ball fields watching his grandkids play and enjoyed going to the river.  He attended South Side Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. He was a man that would help anyone with anything, especially working on all of Colton’s junk. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Along with his mother he is survived by his daughter: Ashley (Adam) Demastus of Culleoka; son: Colton Wayne Wilson of Culleoka; sister: Sue Burgett of Lewisburg; grandsons: Wyatt and Tripp Demastus; wife: Alison Smith Wilson; two nephews, two nieces, two great nieces, and two great nephews; and best friend and partner in crime: Rickey Peden.

Along with his father, Bobby Wayne, he was preceded in death by his brother Barry Todd Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Josh and Ross Burgett, the Employees of Custom Steel, Jeff Parks, Rickey Peden, Kit Peden, and many Wilson cousins.
