Helen Elizabeth Baker, age 76, a resident of Primm Springs, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2022, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jerry McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Hickman County. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 16, 1946, in Gainesboro, Tennessee and raised in Poor House Hollow Road, Helen was the daughter of the late Lee James Denton and the late Viola B. Allen Denton. At the age of fifteen, her family moved to Nashville. She previously worked many years at Durango Boot Company, but her most treasured job was being a housewife, mom, and grandmother. She enjoyed watching television, especially Days of Our Lives , The Simpsons , and western movies. She especially loved listening to her son in law, Marty, play his guitar and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory “Greg” Baker of Bon Aqua, Ronnie Baker of Primm Springs, daughters, Priscilla (Marty) Taylor of Primm Springs, Kim (Joey) Watrous of Fairview, grandchildren, Spring Sensing, Tarra Baker, Laci Baker, Jesseka Taylor, Erik Baker, and great grandchild, Miles Baker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Algie Monroe Baker, Jr., brothers, Frank Denton, Jessie Denton, Charles Denton, and sister, Lena Young.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
