Henry Patrick Martin, age 49, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Elder Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on February 17, 1971 in Columbia, Patrick was the son of Gladys Jones Bryant and the late Henry Martin. He was a 1990 graduate of Columbia Central High School and earned his Associates Degree from ITT Technical Institute. Patrick worked as a Calibration Tech for over twenty years at EML Calibration in Nashville. He was a member of Mount Ararat Primitive Baptist Church. Patrick married Devila Addison in April of 2012, but they were together for a total of 30 years. A great sense of humor, he loved making people laugh and was very smart. He loved motorbikes, cars, and listening to music. Patrick was very family oriented; he enjoyed taking family trips and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughters: A’ngela Martin of South Haven, Mississippi, Jazzmen Martin of Columbia, Tennessee, Alexis Martin of Columbia, Tennessee; brother, Timothy (Vanessa) Jones of California; sister, Paula Davis of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren: Lorenzo Patrick Corr and Kaycen Josiah Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Jones.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Goodrum, Councilman Tony Green, Frankie Walker, Timothy Jones, James Martin, and David Martin.
