Henry Warf

Mr. Henry Herschel Warf, age 83, husband of Linda England Warf, and a lifelong resident of Snow Creek Road in Santa Fe, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his wife and four children on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Charlie Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 14, 1937 in Maury County, Henry was the son of the late Edward M. Warf and the late Fannie Sudberry Warf. A 1955 graduate of Santa Fe School, he later graduated from Nashville Carpentry School and in 1960 became a member of the Carpenters Local Union #2360. On September 11, 1964, he married Linda England. In 1976 they opened the first restaurant in Santa Fe, The Santa Fe Diner . Through the years he worked on numerous construction projects, retiring from Industrial Contractors in 1999. A lifelong farmer, he loved raising cattle and gardening. Additionally, he was an avid coon hunter and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a long-time member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. He adored his ten grandchildren and considered them to be the pride of his life.

In addition to his wife, Linda of fifty-six years, he is survived by his children, Janet (Jeff) King of Columbia, Todd (Candy) Warf of Columbia, Jill Mitchell of Murfreesboro, Tim (Gwendolyn) Warf of Santa Fe, and grandchildren, Haley (Jared) Bacile, Garrett Warf, Peyton (Gabby) Mitchell, Patrick King, Grant Warf, Evan King, Connor Mitchell, Clara King, Ally Warf, and Laci Warf.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Warf and Mary Edna Solenberg, and brother, Loyd Warf.

Pallbearers will be: Garrett Warf, Peyton Mitchell, Patrick King, Grant Warf, Evan King, Connor Mitchell, Jared Bacile, and Jonathan England.
