Mr. Howard Lee “Rooster” Nolan, age 81, husband of Johnette Nolan, and a resident of Pleasant Drive in Columbia, passed away Tuesday morning, September 24, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on July 18, 1938 in Columbia, Howard was the son of the late Richard Nolan and the late Sadie Stewart Nolan. He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked many years as a master carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting on the back patio watching his grandkids play. Howard was an avid University of Tennessee Vols fan.
In addition to his wife, Johnettee, of nearly 44 years, he is survived by his daughters: Beth (Mark Benderman) Nolan of Culleoka, Kara (Griffin Twilla) Nolan of Mt. Pleasant, Laurie Nolan of Mt. Pleasant, Bethany Nolan of Nashville, Patsy (Dustin) Crawford of Nashville, Ralph (Tanya) Nolan of Nashville; brother, Ricky Nolan of Murfreesboro; sister, Patsy Carroll of Columbia; and grandchildren: Lydia King, Leann Brantley, Jeremiah Kitchen, Emily Blythe Nolan and Michael Nolan.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Howard Nolan, Jr.; daughter, Peggy Nolan; brother, Marshall Nolan; and sisters, Patricia Cothran and Peggy Nolan.
