Hurley Campbell

June 30, 1948 — August 19, 2019

Mr. Hurley Campbell, age 71, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23 rd at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Cory Bell officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery at later date. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 30, 1948 in Carter County, TN, Hurley was the son of the late Lonnie Beecher Campbell and the late Faye Beatrice (Taylor) Campbell. In high school, he played basketball and was on the All District, All Regional, and 2 nd Team All State. He worked as Vice President of field operations for Industrial Door Contractors in Columbia. As a Marine serving in the Vietnam Era from 1967-71, he was a door gunner on a helicopter. He flew many missions and received several medals.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Luttrell Campbell of Culleoka; son, Mark A. (Shannon) Campbell of Culleoka; daughter, Michelle R. (Eddie) Runion of Duck River; brother, Charles B. (Tammy) Campbell of Johnson City; sister, Yvonne Crowe of Elizabethton; and five grandchildren.
