Jackie Scroggins

Jackie Darlene McPherson Scroggins, age 56, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 20, 1966, in Lewisburg, Jackie was the daughter of the late Bobby McPherson and the late Jewel Scribner. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers and going to auctions and yard sales. She also enjoyed watching “Days of Our Lives” and was an avid University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE) and Oakland Raiders fan. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her best friend and daughter, Miranda. Jackie was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Scroggins of Lewisburg, daughters, Miranda (Charles Arms) Scroggins of Lewisburg, Jessica Scroggins of Summertown, Kelly (Buddy) Freemon of Culleoka,

Melissa (Derek) Gray of Mt. Pleasant, brother, Bobby (Judy) McPherson of Lewisburg, sister, Ruby Hutt of Lewisburg, grandchildren, Trevor Webb, Ryan Savage, Madison Savage, Brianna Messina, Frankie Messina, Ethan Davis, Trenton Hubbell, Maci Gray, Elijah Arms, Avery Arms, beloved mother in law, Mary Scroggins, special cousin, Cheryle Redd, beloved dogs, Ally and Bit Bit, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Gulley, and sisters, Tricia Mealer, Bobbie Beard, Charlene Flint, and Debbie S. Himes.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Davis, Buddy Freemon, Frankie Messina, Cody Hutt, Derek Gray, and Mitchell Davis. Employees of JD’s Painting will serve as honorary pallbearers.
