Jacob Neal Kennemer, age 24, a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his residence.
A service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Watson and Rev. Jason Mikel officiating. A visitation will also be held on Sunday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 20, 1994 in Florence, Alabama, Jacob was the son of Brian & Shannon Kennemer. He was a 2013 graduate of Forrest School in Chapel Hill where he ran on the Cross-Country team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Middle Tennessee State University in December of 2018. He was particularly involved in the Presbyterian Student Fellowship at MTSU. He worked in sales at Northern Tool & Equipment Company in Murfreesboro and was a member of Jenkins Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nolensville. Jacob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and doing most anything outside.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Gary & Gail Kennemer of Rogersville, AL; maternal grandparents, Richard & Marcia Hughes of Huntsville, AL; uncles: Darren (Julie) Kennemer of Birmingham, AL, Jonathan (Nicole) Hughes of Bristol, TN; and several cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Student Fellowship at MTSU: 2529 Middle Tennessee Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
