Mr. James Lewis Cothran, Sr., age 76, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday morning, June 18, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living.
There will be no public service for Mr. Cothran. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 24, 1943 in Maury County, Lewis was the son of the late Willie N. Cothran, Sr. and the late Pearl Roberts Cothran and husband of the late Judith Ann Baxter. He retired from Monsanto Chemical Company. Lewis often enjoyed golfing, bowling, and woodworking.
He is survived by his sons: James Lewis Cothran, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Shane (Amanda) Cothran of Columbia, Johnny Cothran of Columbia; grandkids: Brooke Cothran, Dillon Cothran, Cameron Cothran, Kaden Cothran, Keefe Cothran, Jennifer Massey; great grandkids: Nicholas Cothran, Sabastian Cothran, Xavier Cothran, Addi Massey, Emmi Massey, Alexis Treadway, Eden Treadway; brother: Jeff Cothran; sisters: Velda Filson, Helen Bell, Martha Cothran, Betty Dyer, and Linda Rhodes.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Willie Cothran, Robert Cothran, Neal Cothran; and his sisters: Joyce Craig and Mildred Cothran.
