Mr. James Robinson, a resident of Beverly Hills, Florida, previously of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his residence, just shortly after his 90 th birthday, after a long year on hospice care.
A visitation will also be held on Friday, April 15 th from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will follow the visitation at Maury Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Army. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
James was born on March 12, 1932, in Asheville, North Carolina and was the son of the late James Reggie Robinson and the late Annie Mae Eatman Robinson. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. James, affectionally known as “Jimbo” by many, was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He was always on the road traveling from Florida to the Carolinas and Tennessee and back. He loved his family and making memories, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and greeted everyone with a smile.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Robinson, brothers, Dewey, Lee, and Richard Robinson. He leaves behind his children, Marsha Robinson, Katherine (Dwayne) Emery, Cynthia (Bill) Mutz, Kathy (John) Staton, Byron Robinson, grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Jeanee, Will, Kristine (Jonathan), Scott (Jane), Jeff (Alisa), Christal, Samantha, Nathan, Johnny, thirteen great grandchildren, sisters, Wilma and Helen, and several nieces and nephews.
