Janet M. Cash

Mrs. Janet M. Cash, age 81, wife of Lawrence Cash, and a resident of Rock Springs Road in Columbia, passed away Saturday evening, September 1, 2018 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Kirk Brothers officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 16, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Janet was the daughter of the late Elmer Berry and the late Dorothy Doerman Berry. She enjoyed reading, sitting on the back porch watching the birds, and tending to her flowers. She especially loved to travel. Janet was a genuine, sweet and very loving woman who was the glue that held her family together. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Lawrence of 61 years, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Deborah (Edward) Elsbury of Lawrenceburg, IN, Sandra (Donald) Simmons of Columbia, TN; grandchildren: Jenna (Robert) Schaeffler of Guilford, IN, Michael (Tasha) Cash of Columbia, TN, Jesika (Eric) Hostetler of Greendale, IN, Caitlyn (Richard) Jones of Columbia, TN, Donald Curtis Simmons of Columbia, TN; and great grandchildren: Hannah Cash, Carter Jones, Alyson Jones, Maelyn Jones, and Cash Schaeffler.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Berry.

Pallbearers will be: Donald Lee Simmons, Donald Curtis Simmons, Eric Hostetler, Michael Cash, Edward Elsbury, William Richard Jones, and Robert Schaeffler.
