Janice Jacobs

Janice Ann Jacobs, age 65, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her residence.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 22, 1958, in Tampa, Florida, Janice was the daughter of the late William Earnest Watson and the late Tinnie Thompson Watson.

Janice enjoyed being outdoors, creating arts and crafts, tending to her flowers and reading her bible.  Her beloved cat, “My Baby”, gave her great pleasure, providing constant companionship and happiness. Janice’s deepest affection was reserved for her cherished grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Carrie Beard; sister, Teresa Scroggins; grandson, Harley Beard; granddaughters, Nevaeh Beard and Jobie Johnson; and very special niece and nephew, Layla Cannady and Lucas Dugger, whom she loved as her own.

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Pruitt.
