Janice Fay Lancaster, age 68, a resident of Liepers Fork, previously of Primm Springs, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. J.J. King officiating. Burial will follow in Johnsons Chapel Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Janice was born on January 29, 1952 in Williamson County, and was the daughter of the late Almer Anderson Byrd and the late Molly Ragsdale Byrd. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Janice also enjoyed working puzzles, crocheting, knitting and macramé.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Ray Lancaster of Hickman County; sister, Barbara (Larry) Jenkins of Liepers Fork; and numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lancaster on August 9, 2017.
Pallbearers will be: Barry Jenkins, Evan Fuson, Aden Fuson, Rodney Hunt, Walt Garner, and Larry Jenkins.
