Jason Thomas Maurer

Mr. Jason Thomas Maurer, age 50, husband of Martha Maurer, and a resident of Nashville, previously of Culleoka, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Thomas West.

A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 5:00 PM with Brian Hogwood officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 4, 1971, in Charlotte, Michigan, Jason was the son of Carol Gokey Maurer and the late Stanley Maurer. He was a self-employed excavator and loved working on any excavating equipment. He started racing dirt track cars in 1996. The Duck River Racing Park is going to have a tribute lap in his memory on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

In addition to his mother , step mother Shelia Maurer and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Addison Maurer of Columbia, step son, Justin Snitzer (Julianna Conn) of Nashville, step daughters, Jessica (Marcus) Baker of Culleoka, Kayla Dale (Hunter Runions) of Duck River, brothers, Bryan (Selena) Maurer of Culleoka, Chadwick Maurer of Michigan, grandchildren, Kaileigh Baker, Carson Rose, Reagan Baker, Hadley Conn, Adalyn Rose, Taylin Baker, nieces, Chelsea (Mark) Shumaker, Autumn Maurer (Daniel Hyde),Macy Maurer, Nici Ulman, Michael Ulman , his racing partner, Phillip Baxter for 13 years. And the mother of his daughter, Amanda, and her husband, Derrick Cosby.
