Jeffrey Wayne Jones

Jeffrey Wayne Jones, age 64, a resident of Chapel Hill, previously of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 12, 1958, in Franklin, Tennessee, Jeff was the son of George Jones and the late Christine Gatlin Jones. He was a 1976 graduate of Franklin High School. Jeff loved doing landscape work especially planting flowers and trees and mowing the grass. He loved all animals, and all animals loved him. Jeff was an avid Elvis Presley fan. He enjoyed food, specifically Hershey Bar cake, and loved to cook. A great sense of humor, Jeff was also very calming and compassionate. Above all, he loved his family, especially his son and sisters.

He is survived by his father, George Jones of Mt. Pleasant, son, Jacob (Megan) Jones of Columbia, and sisters, Stephanie (David) Collins of Chapel Hill, Tammy Jones of Hermitage, and Patsy Davis of Culleoka.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his baby brother, Ewing Jones.
