Jessica Mcghee

Jessica Hammons McGhee, age 46, a native of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her home in Davidson County.

A visitation will also be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 2-4PM at Riggs Church of Christ, 5905 Nashville Highway, Chapel Hill, TN 37034. A small memorial service will be held at 3:45PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jessica was born January 24, 1974.  She graduated from Marshall County High School in 1992.  She was currently employed by Ingram Book Co. of LaVergne, TN.  Jessica had an exceptional love for animals.  Her dog Sassy will miss her greatly.  She and Sassy had an indescribable bond of love for each other.  She had a loving and forgiving heart.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her father, Al Hammons and stepmother Brenda Wallace Hammons of the Rover Community in Unionville, TN; daughter: Carly McGhee of Acworth, GA; sister: Andrea Newcomb; and nephew: Ben Hooper of Unionville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Deason Hammons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a NO KILL animal shelter of your choice.
