Jim Rice

Mr. James “Jim” Ewell Rice, age 76, a resident of Minor Hill, Tennessee, passed away early Thursday morning, September the 3, 2020 at his residence.

The family will celebrate his life with private services. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 22, 1944 in Versailles, Kentucky, Jim was the son of the late Leonard Rice and the late Era Ann Hartman Rice. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from Dunlop Tires after thirty years. Jim enjoyed working on his farm, tinkering with any and everything and driving country roads.

He is survived by his daughters: Gradie Jean (Mack) McJunkin of Oregon, Patti Willits (Michael) McBride of Harvest, Alabama, Kris Willits (Joe) Tiano of Madison, AL; son in law, Lane Eason of Meridianville, AL; sister, Linda Rice of Minor Hill, TN; grandchildren: Rowena Lovvorn, GraceAnn Lawson, Tyler Eason, Austin McBride, Chandler McBride; four great grandchildren; and great nephew, James Tyler Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Rice; and several brothers and sisters.
