Jimmy Rhodes

Mr. Jimmy Lawrence Rhodes, age 70, a resident of Linden, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps. A visitation will also be held on August 10 from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 24, 1949 in Mobile, Alabama, Jimmy was the son of the late JC Rhodes and the late Mildred DeMarce Brewer. He was a Marine and Vietnam Veteran. He drove an 18-wheeler for twenty-seven years. Jimmy was a loving husband, father of two boys, and grandfather of four boys that will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his sons: Donavan G. Rhodes and Shawn (Marie) Rhodes; grandchildren: Tristen, Bryson, Mikel, and Ashton; siblings: David (Stephanie) Rhodes, Katherine (Ottis, Sr.) West, Jack Rhodes, Richard Rhodes, Robert Rhodes, Kenneth Rhodes, John (Elaine) Rhodes, Cynthia (Rusty) Bowen, and James (Shelby) Rhodes; and many extended family and friends.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Rhodes on March 1, 2019.
