Joann Hill Gerald

Joann Hill Gerald, age 80, wife of Clarence Gerald, and a resident of Primm Springs, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at her residence.

Born on July 8, 1942, in Clifton, Tennessee, Joann was the daughter of the late Rev. Daniel Reems Hill and the late Josephine Hill. She married Clarence Gerald on March 16, 1965 and worked as a beautician for many years. After she and Clarence had two children, Angela and Kelli, Joann stayed home to take care of them. She loved shopping and spending time outdoors, especially doing yard work and tending to her flowers. Joann Had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Franklin.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Angela Lynn Gerald of Smyrna, TN, Kelli Ann (Jimmy) Dean of Fairview, TN, grandchildren, Shanna (Ronnie) Tidwell, Brandon Peay, James (Shiane) Dean, Jacob Dean (Ashley Manis), Jeremy Thompson, Brittany Thompson, Danielle Gerald Perry, and great grandchildren, Taylor Tidwell, Adilynn Dean, James Roy Dean, Josephine Dean, Ivana Galeas, Talia Galeas, Justin Gerald, Micah Gerald, and Ella Gerald.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lowell Hill and Joel Hill.

The family will celebrate her life with a memorial service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
