Joe Ann Gardner

Joe Ann Gardner was born March 5, 1933, in Columbia, Tennessee. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, March 8, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Louise Sanford.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Gardner, brothers, Henry E. Sanford, Charlie W. Sanford, Thomas E. Sanford, and Bobby J. Sanford, sisters, Ruby (Tommy) Oakley, Dorothy (Bryant) Mathis, and Callie (Richard) Harris.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, Ethel L. Edwards, Geneva A (Willie) Renfro, Addie L. Smith, devoted niece, Darlene (Jeffrey) Ellis, and nephews, Steve (Marlene) Sanford, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Hospice Compassus, nieces Lillian Oakley and Lavonda Armstrong, devoted friend, Shirlene Cooper, and care takers, Linda Gail Sanford, Valerie Gant, and Kebra Martin.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenny Anderson officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
