Joe (Joey) Franklin Sims

Joe (Joey) Franklin Sims, age 54, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away July 11, 2022, at his residence, after losing his battle with cancer.

Born on October 28, 1967, in Maury County, Tennessee, Joe was the son of the late Franklin (Bud) D. Sims and Joann Pope Vetzel.  He very much enjoyed watching college football, western movies, and Harry Potter movies; he also loved to cook.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Joann (stepfather, Steve) Vetzel, his sisters, Sheila (Tim) Karnes and Krystal Osborne, nephew Logan Osborne, four children, Andrew (Marissa) Sims, Katelyn (Jacob) Hudson, Danielle (Craig) Kelley and Morgan Sims, six grandchildren, Lincoln and Addilynn Kelley, Olivia, Anna Kate and Judah Hudson and Bella Sims.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Geneva Pope.
