John Curtis Kingsbury

Mr. John Curtis Kingsbury, age 66, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at his residence.

A memorial service will be at Meadowview Baptist Church on Saturday, June 5th at 2:00 pm with Brother Jimmy Nave officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 11, 1954 in Greensboro, North Carolina, John was the son of the late Clarence Curtis Kingsbury and the late Peggy Bean Cooke. He worked several years for the Lawrence County Highway Department. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and tinkering with electronics.

He is survived by his wife, Deonna Hughes of Lawrenceburg, TN; son, John Curtis Kingsbury, II of Madison County, TN; daughter, Samantha Weigart of Lawrenceburg, TN; brother, Jimmie (Susan) Campbell of Raleigh, NC; sister, Helen Gladney of Summertown, TN; grandchildren: Haylie Mattox, Baylynn Weigart, Gabriel Vogel, Amaris Vogel; and nieces: Brittany Campbell, Allison Campbell, Errica Miller, and Laura Brande.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Elmer Cooke.
