John Tomas Shults

March 17, 1974 - May 17, 2020

Mr. John Tomas Shults, age 46, a resident of Ethridge, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2PM at Shaw Cemetery in Lawrenceburg. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 17, 1974 in Peoria, Illinois, John was the son of the late James Shults and the late Janie Walters Shults. He was a graduate of Lawrence County High School and worked for Doss Brothers Contractors. A great sense of humor, John was a practical joker who was always the life of the party. Everyone who knew him loved him. He had a very contagious smile and enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar and the fiddle and singing. He was a kind, caring and compassionate soul as evidenced in his last act of kindness, he gave the gift of life by donating organs and tissues to others he would never meet.

He is survived by his very special friend, Amber Springer; his lifelong friend, Bryan Pryce Jones; siblings: Jeff Shults of Summertown, Laquetta Bosheers of Summertown, Wendy Spearman of Summertown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Shults.
