Joseph Czajka, Jr.

Joseph A. Czajka, Jr., age 81, husband of Judy Czajka, and resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at his residence.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Daniel Reehil officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 1, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph A. Czajka, Sr. and the late Hedwig Kuczynski Czajka. He married Judy Gonzalez on July 28, 1956 and together they had three children. He worked thirty-five years at General Motors before retiring. He was an excellent mechanic who loved working on cars and often enjoyed fishing. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Mark Czajka of Three Rivers, MI, Joseph Czajka of Culleoka, TN, Christopher (Karen) Czajka of Culleoka, TN; siblings: Virginia Wolf of Paducah, KY, Richard (Rose) Czajka of Brighton, MI, Ronald (Paula) Czajka of Brighton, MI; grandchildren: Joshua (Destiny) Czajka, Ashley (Michael) Do, Jacob Czajka, Chez Czajka, Jordan Czajka, Jaquline Czajka, Chasyn Czajka, Caden Czajka; and great grandchildren: Ella Baily, Keaton Do, Makenna Do, Lilly Faye Czajka, Ziggie Czajka, and Marlie Czajka,

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Annette Zonca and grandson, Chasyn Czajka.

Pallbearers will be: Mark Czajka, Joe Czajka, Chris Czajka, Jake Czajka, Caden Czajka, Jordan Czajka, and Chasyn Czajka.
