Joyce Pauline Hahn was welcomed into her eternal home on Saturday, November 2, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is now reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Jack Hahn, who preceded her in death. Joyce leaves behind a loving family who cherished her dearly: her sons, Tracy (Susan) Hahn and Terry (Olga) Hahn; her daughter, Tammy (Billy) Rosson; and her treasured grandchildren, Zac Hahn, Jesse Hahn, Taylor Hahn, Wesly Hahn, Grayson Hahn, Aaron Rosson, and Avery Rosson. She will also be missed by her extended family of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Joyce’s life was marked by an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Known for her strength and humility, her love of God radiated throughout her life, inspiring everyone around her. Joyce and Jack shared a remarkable journey together, traveling the world in faith and mission, from Alaska to Africa, and building their life across Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Her love and care provided a strong foundation for her family no matter where life’s journey took them.
In recent years, Joyce lived with the challenges of Parkinson’s, which slowly took a toll on her physically. Yet, even in the face of daily pain and limitations, her steadfast love for God and her family remained a source of strength and encouragement to all who knew her. Her grace through adversity left a lasting impression on those who cared for her and loved her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate support of First Baptist Church Columbia; Oak Valley Baptist Church in Franklin; Compassus Hospice, especially Dr. Ben Gardner and nurses Melanie, Pam, and Dillon, and Compassus volunteer Reya; Preferred Care at Home, particularly Susan, Sonya, Marilyn, Karen, and Cassandra; and the dedicated pharmacists and staff at Holland’s Pharmacy.
A private celebration of life will be held by her family, with arrangements handled by Heritage Funeral Home. Joyce will be laid to rest at Maury Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Tracy Hahn, Terry Hahn, Billy Rosson, Grayson Hahn, Aaron Rosson, and Seth Clark.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joyce’s memory to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention at imb.org.
Her legacy of faith, love, and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
