Joyce Harmon

March 18, 1939 — January 4, 2019

Mrs. Joyce Faye Harmon, age 79, wife of Richard Harmon, Sr., and a resident of Pulaski, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 6PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Eddie Rogers officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 5-6PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 18, 1939 in Greys, Kentucky, Joyce was the daughter of the late Clifford Helton and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Hale Helton. She loved doing many arts and crafts including: crocheting and making quilts, afghans, dolls and jewelry. Joyce especially enjoyed shopping for her supplies at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Stores. She was an excellent cook who liked going on cruises, being outdoors and going camping. Joyce loved clothes and shoes and often enjoyed dressing up. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Richard of fifty years, she is survived by her children: Richard Alan Harmon of Pulaski, Richard Wayne (Robin) Harmon, Jr. of Texas, Charles David Mathis of Florida, Edward (Natalie) Self of Florida, Kenneth Mathis of Florida, Brenda Garner of Indiana, Peggy (Charles) Patterson of Florida; sister: Barbara Norwood of Florida; nineteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren: Richard Alan Harmon, Jr., Richard Wayne Harmon III; great granddaughter: Cieara Sunshine Harmon; brother: Glenn Ray Helton; and sister: Helen Carter.
