Juanice Scrimpshire

Juanice Scrimpshire, left earth on December 2, 2020 to be in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was an incredible woman, and if you knew her, you know that. She touched peoples’ lives in ways never imagined.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, December 9th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1:00 until the  2:00 PM service at the funeral home. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens.

Juanice was born on December 20, 1932 in Whistler, Alabama. She went to high school and attended business college in Mobile, Alabama. Juanice was married to James (J.C.) Curtis Scrimpshire for 64 years before he left this earth.

Juanice and J.C. raised their family in Huntsville, Alabama and created Scrimpshire Dental Laboratories which prospered with David (deceased) and Carole Hix, longtime friends. She was a well-known and faithful parishioner at Big Cove Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years, prior to moving to Columbia, TN in 2016 when she joined Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is pre-deceased by her sons, James Scrimpshire, Gregory M. Scrimpshire, and his wife Debra Scrimpshire. She has always loved and adored her grandson, Royce James Scrimpshire.

Juanice had numerous siblings that have passed prior to her death, Otis (Sammy) L. Sessions, Jr., Valeria Wike, and Naomi Hocutt, and Otis (Sammy) L. Sessions, Jr. Her remaining siblings are James Devaughn (Sonny) Sessions and Betty Olend.
