Judy Nell Stewart, age 72, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her residence.

The family will celebrate her life with a private service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 2, 1949, in Giles County, Judy was the daughter of the late Buford Wilburn “Wib” Watts and the late Geneva Womble Watts. She worked at Weather Tamer and later worked at NHC Columbia as the activity coordinator. She also worked at Levi Strauss and worked many years as the head cook for Bucky’s before retiring. Judy loved the outdoors, camping and tending to her flowers. She especially loved shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Terry King of Sevierville, daughters, Tracy (Lana) King of Columbia, Isabella Rose Stewart of Columbia, brothers, James Wesley Watts of Duck River, Roger (Jeana) Watts of Columbia, Anthony (Patsy) Watts of Culleoka, Stanley (Sandy) Watts of Tullahoma, sister, Janet Cole of Columbia, grandchildren, Bryan (Jonnie) Anderson, Dustin (Ashlyn) Anderson, Derrick (Frankie) King, Holly (David Gibson) King, great grandchildren, Bryan Anderson, Jr., Braylin Anderson, Tanner Anderson, Haisley Anderson, Baker King, one great grandchild on the way, Brielle Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Wayne Stewart, the father of her children, Ernest King, Jr., and brothers, Gene Watts and Christopher Watts.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Diana Long for helping take care of Judy and to the Hospice Compassus team for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place
Memphis, TN 38105.
