Judy Whitworth Smith

Judy Francis Whitworth Smith, age 68, of Hohenwald, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March31, 2025, at Life Care Center.

Born on February 17, 1957, in Marks, Mississippi, Judy was the daughter of the late Frank Whitworth Jr. and the late Mary Francis Stone Whitworth. She had a passion for sewing, playing Rummy, and watching the Hallmark Channel. An avid reader, she also loved cooking and making sweets. More than anything, Judy cherished time spent with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Hunter (Katie) Smith of Hohenwald, daughter, Cherrion Smith of Murfreesboro, siblings, Lynn (Jack) West of Columbia, Larry Johnston of Florida, Stacy (Jim) Legge of Alabama, Frank (Teresa) Whitworth, II of Dyersburg, grandchildren, Savannah Duncan, Eva Duncan, Justin Smith, and Gracie Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Smith, brothers, James Whitworth, Bobby Johnston, Lee Whitworth, very special friend, Dale Adams, and beloved dog, Gabby.

The family will honor her life with a private service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
