Karen Faye Smith Griggs

Mrs. Karen Faye Smith Griggs, age 67, wife of Carl E. Griggs, and a resident of Old Leipers Creek Road in Columbia, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 7, 1955, in Davidson County, Tennessee, Karen was the daughter of the late Ernest L. Smith and the late Mary Johnson Smith. She was an avid reader who enjoyed watching figure skating and taking trips to the ocean.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Dale Griggs of Columbia, TN, Cherry (Chris) King of Japan, grandchildren, Michael, Shelby, Allyson, and Justin King, Hannah, Kaylee, and Courtney Griggs, and great grandchild, Ella Rose.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale Smith, Toby Smith, and sister, Janice Jenkins.
