Katherine Neighbors

Katherine Landiss Neighbors, age 91, resident of Franklin passed away Tuesday October 30 ^th at NHC Franklin.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 10 ^th at 1:00PM at Cumberland City Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Katherine was born on November 13, 1926 in Cumberland City, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Grant L. Landiss and the late Kate Paschall Landiss. She earned her Ed.S. Degree in Library Science from George Peabody College and worked as a Librarian at the Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville. Katherine also taught at schools in Chapel Hill, Cornersville, Pulaski and Lebanon. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Captain Chuck Neighbors US Navy retired (Debbie) of Franklin, two grandchildren: Mathew C. Neighbors, Major Andrew R. (Lizzie) Neighbors, and five great grandchildren: Aiden, Trevor, Aubrey, Elliana, Henley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Neighbors, brothers: Grant L. Landiss, Morris Paschall Landiss, J. Will Landiss.
