Kathleen "Kathy" Sue Gornicki

Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Sue Gornicki, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday morning, August 31, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Father Dan Reehil officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM with a Rosary service beginning at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 23, 1946 in Flint, Michigan, Kathy was the daughter of the late Louis Petrosky and the late Dorothy Fitzgerald Petrosky. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, jewelry making, and playing slot machines at the casino. She was an excellent cook who was a devoted wife and mother. She always put her family first and especially loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Gornicki of Columbia, TN; children: Robyn (Yogi) Gornicki-Davis of Nashville, TN, Jason (Laura) Gornicki of Gallatin, TN, Pamela (Jeff) Gornicki-Hart of Monticello, GA; brother, Lonne Petroskey; sisters: Terry Johnson, Nancy (Bob) McKinsey; grandchildren: Daniel and Abigail Gornicki; special friends: Carl & Sandra Stiefel and Bob Addison; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Petroskey; sister, Lois Williams; and sisters in law: Marritta Petroskey and Irene Petroskey.
