Keith Robert Allen

Mr. Keith Robert Allen, age 71, a resident of Lynnville, passed away Monday evening, January 6, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Edd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 23, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan, Keith was the son of the late A. Wilson Allen and the late Beulah Ross Allen. He was raised on a dairy farm but over the years raised cows and chickens and spent many years on a tractor, in the corn fields, cutting hay, gardening or chopping wood. He built every barn he had by hand himself on his hobby farm that he enjoyed maintaining. Keith worked many years on the assembly line at General Motors before retiring and was previously a deacon at The Way Church in Columbia.

He is survived by his children: Karen (David) Hunt of Columbia, Kathleen Osmar of Lynnville, Kelly Allen of Lynnville, Mark Allen of Lynnville; brothers: Russell (Judy) Allen of Claire, MI, Kevin Allen of Hesperia, MI; sisters: Barbara (William) Franklin of Eau Claire, MI, Ruth Lathrop of Hesperia, MI; grandchildren: Timmy Jennette, Nichole Jennette, Seth King, Ethan King, Addison King, TJ Burleson, David King, Abby Hunt; and great grandchildren, Aubreeah and Kylee King.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Johanna Allen; wife, Carol Elizabeth Allen on April 27, 2019; son, Robert Allen; grandson, Justin White; and brothers, Ed Allen and Clark Allen.

Pallbearers will be: Russell Allen, Timmy Jennette, Seth King, Ethan King, David Hunt, and Derrick Sparkman.
