Kenneth Levon Jenkins

October 8, 1932 — November 5, 2022

Mr. Kenneth Levon Jenkins, age 90, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Redd and Brother Ryan Brister officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Maury Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will also be held on Monday, November 7, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on October 8, 1932, Kenneth was the son of the late James P. Jenkins and the late Mattie Pearl Pitts Jenkins.  He attended West Limestone School in Athens, Alabama.  Kenneth was married to Sara, “his sweetheart”, for 67 years until her death in 2019. He was a self-employed owner of Jenkins Auto Sales and Repair.  Earlier in life, he was employed at Park Brothers Feed and Seed as well as an employee of Union Carbide.  He was also a past president of The Wyndham Park Homeowners Association and a founding member of Lighthouse Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Huffman and Reba (Amos) McCoy, sister, Ann (Paul) Pitts, grandchildren, Keith (Jennifer) Throneberry, Kimberly Huffman, Ashley (Michael) Johnson, Adam (Sarah) Crowell, Tyler (Claire) Crowell, and great-grandchildren, Carter Throneberry, Trip Rock, Lillian Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Jack Crowell, Ryan Crowell, Hattie Jane Crowell, Eliza Crowell, and Matthew Primm.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ann Odom Jenkins, brother, Dennis Jenkins, and sister, Evelyn Hughes.

Pallbearers will be Keith Throneberry, Adam Crowell, Tyler Crowell, Michael Johnson, Donald Lewis, and Steve Mangrum.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Tisher, Jerry Bytwerk, Carl McCullen, and men of Lighthouse Church.

Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Church, 2000 Williamsport Pike, Columbia, Tennessee, 38401.
