Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Malugin

Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Malugin, age 64, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his residence, with his wife by his side.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Derek Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A native of Maury County, Kenny was born on August 9, 1958, and was the son of the late James Porter Malugin and the late Drucilla Elizabeth Hicks Malugin. He worked as a millwright supervisor for Automatic Systems Inc. for over thirty years. A true outdoorsman, Kenny enjoyed doing yardwork, camping, and grilling. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family, especially to Disney World and other amusement parks. Kenny always went all out for Christmas, his favorite holiday to celebrate. Above all, he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Parker Malugin of Columbia, sons, Cameron Lee Malugin of Wayne County,  Cody Wayne Malugin of Columbia, Jacob Andrew Malugin of Columbia, step daughters, Amber LeeAnn (Jesse) Spencer of Chapel Hill, Elizabeth Morgan (Taylor) Page of Columbia, siblings, James (Brenda) Malugin of Columbia, Lester (Dawn) Malugin of Columbia, Robert Malugin of Lewis County, Roger (Floye) Malugin of Columbia, Brenda (Benny) Morton of Hampshire, grandchildren, Parker James Shannon, Stella Gail Spencer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sue Hopper, Eva May Buffington Martin, Shirley Cross, Margaret Davis, his first wife and the mother of his children, Jan Dawson Malugin.

Pallbearers will be KC Delk, Errette Delk, Michael Malugin, Shane Davis, Chris Stewart, and Jeff Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Davidson, Mark Hopper, Gregg Buffington, and friends and co-workers from ASI, Automatic Systems Inc.
