Kevin was born September 14, 1963, in Columbia, TN to Clarence Frierson Jr. and Barbara Harlan Frierson. He departed this life on May 21, 2024, at Vanderbilt Hospital.
He was educated in the Maury County School system. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Columbia TN. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and proudly served for 12 years. Upon retiring from the Army he became a truck driver, a profession that developed into a passion for him. The freedom of being on the open road coupled with being a member of a cohort that served as the lifeblood of this country’s economy provided Kevin with a renewed sense of purpose post military life. His membership in the Mason Fraternal Brotherhood served as another strong passion for Kevin. Kevin began his Mason membership in the Blue Lodge but eventually spread his wings and joined five (5) other Masonry lodges on his way to achieving the rank of Master. Kevin was also a member of the Kingdom Riders Motorcycle Club where he served as the president and was affectionately known as “Sir Fri”. Upon moving back to Columbia Kevin extended his service by joining the local Elks Lodge. Later in life Kevin rededicated his life to Christ and went on to join the St. Paul men’s choir.
