Kimberly "Kim" Jean Whitehead

Mrs. Kimberly “Kim” Jean Clanton Whitehead, age 58, wife of Johnny Whitehead, and a resident of Ethridge, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at North Alabama Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will follow in Bumpas Cemetery in Lawrenceburg. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kim was born on January 21, 1964, in Lawrence County and was the daughter of the late Lindon “Nubbin” Clanton and the late Billie Jean Laws Clanton. She married Johnny Whitehead on March 22, 1990. A very kindhearted person, Kim was a caregiver since a very young age. She had a special love for children and animals, especially dogs. Above all, she loved her family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers, Mike Robbins of Ethridge, TN, Steve (Jackie) Clanton of Knoxville, TN, sisters in law, Linda Morton of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Kat (Monk) Woodard of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Faye (Leslie) Burns of Mt. Pleasant, TN, special niece, Sherry (David) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, TN, special cousins, Sambo Laws of Lawrence County, TN, Brenda Benderman of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded on death by her sisters in law, Mary Head, Jewell Estes, and brothers in law, Eddie Whitehead and Chuck Whitehead.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Woodard, Timmy Woodard, Jimmy Woodard, D.J. Woodard, Jansen Woodard, Trevor Woodard, Brandon Burns, and Brent Burns. Honorary pallbearers will include Rusty Roberts, Kenneth Holder, Butch Holder, and David Smith.
