Kimberly Vanetta Wilson was born on October 24, 1970, to the late Ralph Wilson and Willie Mae Johnson Wilson. She transitioned into eternal peace on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25 th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24 th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kim accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by Bro. Charles Beaman at Burns Springs Church of Christ. She later joined West Point Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the choir, hospitality ministry, outreach and Sunday School.
Kim was educated in the Maury County School System. She was a lifelong caregiver to others.
Kim loved to love on people and established lifelong friendships. Her life was a living example of this verse, Ephesians 4:32-“And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She shared her love with food by preparing her famous fried chicken, BBQ chicken, neckbones, apples and corn. Kim was known for her inspirational words, humor, sweet smile, and infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by two sisters Marie and Valerie Wilson, parents, grand-parents, aunts and uncles.
She loved her family and friends and leaves to cherish her memory: loving daughter Quijuana Wilson. Her loving and beautiful blessings grandchildren: Elias, Josiah, Arriah, and A’rrius. Four Loving siblings: Chris (Gwen), Tracy, Marcus (Cheryl), and Travis (Georgena). Bonus brother: Alfred (Cheryl). Eight Supportive nieces and nephews: Natasha, Chiquita (Lonnie), Krystal, Shaherah, ShaQuante, Ashton, RaKwaan (Chassity), Rakwalia (Cortez), and supportive bonus niece Lisa Walker (Sharnice). Great nieces and nephews: Asharia, Kevari, Azarion, Donnazia, Isaiah, Jadarius, Laila, Aria, DeAndreah, S’zavion, Kylie, Alexandria, Miya, Mya, and Hazel. Aunts: Margaret Campbell and Polly Wilson.
Faithful friends: Barbara Mayberry, Sonia Mitchell, Colleen Bellafant, LaQuitta Taylor and Ginger Wells. A host of relatives and friends whom she cherished dearly.
