Larry Joe Riddle of Columbia, Tennessee

Larry Joe Riddle, 68, resident of Columbia, passed Friday, May 31 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services for Larry Joe will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, June 3 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia with Glynn Newell officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in Lawrence County. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 at Heritage Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Born March 11, 1951 in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Odie and Edna Giles Riddle and husband of Deborah Hulen Riddle. Larry Joe worked for Stauffer Chemical, Carrier/Heil-Quaker and Goodman. He loved to travel, hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to every ball game of theirs that he could. Larry Joe was a lung transplant recipient on July 3, 2015. He was given the chance to live life full again thru organ donation. He would like to encourage others to give the gift of life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son: Jeremy Riddle of Murfreesboro; daughters: Jayme (Briant) Cheek of Lynnville and Jillian Riddle of Culleoka; sister: Janice Kay Brown of Summertown; grandchildren: Houston Cheek, Caroline Cheek and Justice Crowe. He was preceded in death by his brothers: John Riddle and James Dwight Riddle.
