Larry Reco Davis of Columbia, Tennessee

Larry Reco Davis, age 70, of Columbia, TN passed away at Magnolia Healthcare and Rehabilitation on November 16, 2023. Memorial services will be held later in Flint, MI.

Mr. Larry Reco Davis was born on November 14, 1953, to the union of William and Jessie Davis in Flint, MI. He attended Flint Community Schools and graduating from Northwestern High School. Larry was a very musically inclined individual.  Larry attended Mott Community College where his journey started to become a Master Electrician. He also met the love of his life, and they started a family. He then went on to open his own family business Davis Electrician, while working on the electrical components for AutoWorld. After working for Autoworld, he started his thirty plus year career at General Motors, where he retired. His hobbies included listening to music, watching movies, and talking to family. His favorite sayings were “I’m smarter than the average bear.” and “My momma ain’t raise no dummy.”

Mr. Larry Davis leaves to cherish his loving family and friends, wife, Lugene Williams Davis, sons, Willie Davis of Flint, MI, Joseph Davis of Nashville, TN, and Larry Davis Jr. of California; daughter Trameka (Torrence) Lane of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Calencia Malone, Jahquies Green, Aniah Mcleod, James Green Jr., Zaire Green, Deonte Davis, Demonte Davis, Taraj Lane. Brothers William (Bobbie) Davis, Maurice (Beverly) Davis, Kent (Doretha) Davis; sister Faye Morgan along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents William & Jessie Davis, first wife Lana Davis, and sisters, Mattie Morgan and Gloria Davis, along with special aunt Loria Ross.
