Julius Leon Hooter, age 78, resident of Spring Hill, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Williamson Medical Center.


A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 28 th at 5:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Uriah Oxford and Steve Culver officiating. Family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 3:00pm until the 5:00pm service hour.  An inurnment will be held at a later date in Maury Memorial Gardens.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Leon was a man of many hobbies and achievements; He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, competitive Drag Racing; and racing remote controlled cars with his son and brother-in-law. His dogs were his passion. He trained 8 world champion reigning horses, shot in competitive 3D Archery, and held the Louisiana High School record in the 100-yard dash. Leon has spent the last 33 years being a mentor, speaking on behalf of the business he loved: Saba Health and Nutrition Company. His passion in life was helping people with their health and was loved and admired by so many. Leon lived his strong faith in God which he eagerly shared. He loved attending Thompson Station Church, music being a passion of his.

Leon is survived by his wife, Anita Sue Hines Hooter of Spring Hill; son: Ricky Dale (Shawna) Hooter of Spring Hill; sister: Melody Delynn (Kevin) Steers of Spring Hill; brother in laws: Bill (Rosie) Hines, Ron (Cletar) Hines, and Byron (Sharon) Hines; grandchildren: Ashley (Shawn) Bishop, Christian Hooter, Jordan Hooter, and Liam Hooter; great grandchild: Ryman Magnolia Bishop; niece: Torri (A.G.) Stell; nephew: Parker Steers; great nephews: Fletcher Stell, Foster Stell, and Fisher Stell; along with many other nephews and nieces.
