Leonard Duvall

April 4, 1931 — May 19, 2020

Mr. Leonard Dean Duvall, age 89, born and raised in Rally Hill, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday morning, May 19, 2020.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points and Jimmy Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in Shires Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 4-7PM and again on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 4, 1931 in Maury County, Leonard was the son of the late Paul Dean Duvall and the late Margaret Chunn Duvall. He worked many years for Union Carbide before retiring and later worked over fifteen years for ACE Hardware in Columbia. He was a cattle farmer for many years and was known as the Dale Earnhardt of go carts at the Lewisburg Speedway. He and his dear friend, Jimmy Rowland often enjoyed coon hunting together. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his son, Terry Duvall of Smyrna; daughter, Teresa Dugger of Columbia; and grandchildren, Stephanie Duvall, Terry Duvall, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Lee Wiles Duvall; brothers: Joe, Buddy, and Larry Duvall; and sisters: Dot Murphy and Bonnie Williams.

Active pallbearers will be: nephews: Darrell Williams, Mike Duvall, Earl Mosley, Jacky Rowland, Jimmy Rowland, Billy Glenn Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ricky Duvall, and Kevin Duvall.
