Linda Darnell Armstrong, age 61, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born and raised in Maury County, Linda was the daughter of the late Leroy Lacy and the late Willie Louise Armstrong. She was educated in the Maury County Public School System and went on to dedicate her life to caring for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Linda compassionately served as a private caregiver for several families. She also worked as a teacher’s aide at Columbia Central High School and Riverside Elementary School, and she contributed her skills to the housekeeping departments of several local nursing homes.

Linda had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and ability to connect with everyone she met; she truly never met a stranger. Her passion for cooking brought joy to many, and she was a devoted Tennessee Titans fan. She attended New Life Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Courtney Armstrong of Columbia, Travis (Hillary) Holt of Columbia, Jacquelyn Holt of Columbia, Sharnita (Camron) Webster of Columbia, Brittani (Jermaine) Moore of Columbia, LaQuinton Jones of California, Godchildren, Kennita Black, Makiyah Edwards, siblings, Deborah Armstrong, Jennifer Armstrong, Tarria Turrentine, William A. Turrentine, Wendall Turrentine, Rhonda Turrentine, Veronica Bills, Tonya Holt, Reggie Lacy, Alesia Lacy Sanders, fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild with another on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother, Tim Lacy, nephews, Antonio Turrentine, Kemarion Turrentine, and fiancé, James Vester, Jr.
