Linda Hedrick

Linda Lucille Hedrick, age 69, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Allen Armstrong officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 2, 1950 in Hickman County, Linda was the daughter of the late Elbert Morton and the late Ethel Malugin Morton. She worked many years as a waitress at several different restaurants including: Dairy Dip, later known as Stratton’s in Ashland City, Lucille’s Restaurant in Columbia, and Oasis in College Grove. Linda later began working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at several long-term care facilities, including, Heritage Manor and The Bridge Assisted Living in Columbia before becoming a private sitter.

She is survived by her sons: Brian Hedrick of Summertown, Anthony (Amy) Hedrick of Hickman County; daughters: Sonya Aguilar of Columbia, Candy Riggs of Lawrenceburg; brother: Charles Morton of Summertown; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Hedrick; brothers: L.B Morton, Wayne Morton, James Morton, Boyd Morton; sisters: Ruby Mohrman, Pauline Blair, Ruth Davis; and great grandchild: Hannah Grace Marie Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Tommy Clark, Brandon Clark, Justin Clark, Tyler Riggs, Brian Hedrick, Jr., Kimberly Taylor, Sabrina Clark, Alicia Watkins, Faith Riggs, Alexis Riggs, Lanee Hedrick, Jessie Hedrick, Brooke Hedrick, and Brandy Burleson.
