Linda L. (Davis) LaSasso was born in Iowan City, Iowa on April 22, 1943. She overcame a rough childhood to go on to do many great things. She married in 1961 to C.V. Turner, and they had two children, Tina Ray (Turner) and William Turner. She relocated to California in 1968 with her second husband, Harvey, to run a Thrifty Car Rental. Her fondness for travel took her to many places where she never met a stranger.

She held many occupations, including being the first female UPS driver is Pasadena, CA. She loved driving a truck! She was extremely handy and could fix just about anything. Because she loved to travel, Linda became a long haul trucker after her children moved overseas for military service. This job landed her in Nashville, TN in 1987. She met her significant other and best friend of thirty-four years, John Crawley, soon after at the local VFW Hall. She would continue to try her hand at many a jobs over the years. She even washed buses of the county music artists of the time.

Work wasn’t the only thing keeping Linda busy, in her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and playing darts even winning a trophy or two. She was a lover of nature but especially the butterfly. She always had a garden and would often can what she grew. She enjoyed planting flowers as well, especially roses. She would also attend many sporting events, band competitions, and other accomplishments of he grandchildren. She was always there cheering them on, and encouraging them to go after their dreams. It was know she could throw one heck of a party too. She was always there to give some of the best advice.

When she was diagnosed with the brain tumor on 1992, she never slowed down. She continued to liver her best life as she fought through almost thirty surgeries. Her strong will to live and see her family grown kept her going for almost thirty years. Linda always has a positive outlook no matter what life three at her. She faced every challenge head on and with a smile. One of the best times she has in recent years was the 7,000-mile country road trip with John.

Linda is survived by best friend and significant other John Crawley, children Tina (Bo) Ray, and William Turner, grandchildren Stephanie Dinsmore, Shannen (Shannon) Helton, Amber Turner, Anthony (Meghan) Turner, Payton (Lee) Grubbs, Zachary Ray, Natalie Ray, Stevie Ray, Brady Turner, and great-grandchild Savanna Garner
