Mrs. Lorie Lee Stever, age 59, a former resident of Columbia and Chapel Hill, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at her home in Lewisburg.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 20, 1961 in Wayne, Michigan, Lorie was the daughter of the late Joseph Frederick Cripps and the late Dolores Juanita Smith Cripps. She was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She worked as a social worker for Centerstone. Lorie was a person who enjoyed adventures, music, dancing, the Smoky Mountains and especially spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Shawna Stever; son: Rick Stever; sisters: Pat (Jerry) Eagle, Mary (Don) West and Joan (Fred) Bolden; grandchildren: Hayden Stever, Bryson Stever, Emily Stever, Shelby Stever, Cameron DePew, Anthony Tansil, Don Gary Couch Jr. and Aaliyah Stever; Richard Stever and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joshua Stever and brother George Cripps.
