Lorri Tigner

September 23, 1959 — April 16, 2022

Lorri White Tigner, age 62, a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away Saturday morning, April 16, 2022, at her sister’s home in Columbia, Tennessee.

A celebration of life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A private mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37203.

Lorri was born September 23, 1959, in Flint, Michigan to Mark and Lorraine White. Lorri was an energetic, positive, athletic person of the Catholic faith. Lorri loved life and all sports, playing golf the last decade with her partner, Steve. In her early years, Lorri had her own daycare. She then went on to graduate number one in her class at the University of  Memphis with a teaching degree in science. Lorri taught science and history in Memphis and her most recent years at Maury County Public Schools, mainly Santa Fe where she coached her boys and the children she taught. Lorri and her sister, Keitha, owned Forrest Landing business for a few years. She went on to work at Pool and Spa Depot which she truly loved. Lorri has been deeply grateful to the owners, Peter and Greg, for their support while she worked and especially this past year. Lorri had many close friends but especially Becky Nowak-Mach and Becky Bateman, her childhood friends and best buddies.

Lorri leaves behind to cherish her memory her partner, Steve Loveless of Chapel Hill, TN, two sons, Christopher (Crystal) Tigner of Chapel Hill, TN and Todd Tigner of Memphis, TN, Steve’s two daughters, Katie Loveless of Franklin, TN and Steffanie (Joey) Baylog of Atlanta, GA, six grandchildren, Conrad, Brittany, Joshua, Kaylee, Sarah, and Trent, two great grandchildren, Hayes and Oaklee, sisters Millie (Jerry) Jones, Keitha (Mike) James, Maureen Holmes, Dara (Ken) Oakes, and many nieces and nephews.

Lorri was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Danny and Dale.

Lorri would like to thank Tennessee Oncology and Aveanna Hospice for their kind and loving care.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
