Mabeline Scribner, age 63, resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23 rd at 2pm at Heritage Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to the funeral home.  The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00pm until the service hour at the funeral home. Please all in attendance follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and facial coverings.  The service will be livestreamed for anyone who cannot attend.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mabeline was born in Columbia on March 10, 1957 and was the daughter of the late Joe Scribner and the late Ethalene Thompson.  She graduated from Carver Smith High School.   She loved doing yardwork and tending to flowers.  Some of her hobbies included dancing, watching movies, and shopping with her sister.  Mabeline was a lady that loved to joke, was full of life, and outgoing.  She was a devoted Christian that loved the Lord and enjoyed going to all churches, but she was a longtime member of Fountain Creek Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and ushered for years.  Most of all, she loved her family.  She enjoyed cooking and having her family over for dinners.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Renzo (Angela) Scribner, Brent Baugh, and Wallace (Christina) Scribner, all of Columbia; brother: James (Gladys) Thompson of Columbus, GA; sisters: Glennie Scribner and Laura Bell Scribner, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Jaleigha Scribner, Justice Scribner, and Renzo Scribner, Jr.; great grandchild: Mylah Scribner; step grandchildren: Kayla Martin, Tarrance Martin, Shirley Martin, William Martin, and Tiffany Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Johnny B. Scribner, William Scribner, Floyd Scribner, Lenzy Scribner, and Walter Jim Scribner; and sisters: Claudia Dangerfield, Minnie Bell Alred, and Mattie B. Scribner.
